The single, that is. Not the boy.

Diana Vickers is soon to release her second single, 'The Boy Who Murdered Love', through RCA Records on 12th July.

The track appears on her debut album, and was co-written by the Blackburn native, this time with Chris Braide.

Explaining the song, Diana has said: “The boy who murdered love sounds uptempo but it’s got a dark meaning behind it. It's about when you've been madly in love with someone and your world has been so beautiful but then they break your heart and ruin the whole concept of love for you. The beautiful boy you once adored has now murdered love.”

You can catch Diana at the following festivals this summer:

Saturday July 10 T in the Park Festival (King Tut’s Tent)
Sunday July 11 Oxegen Festival, Ireland (Green Room)
Saturday August 14 Summer Sundae Festival, Leicester
Saturday August 21 V Festival, Stafford
Sunday August 22 V Festival, Chelmsford

She'll also be supporting JLS on some of their upcoming dates.
